Handles for Children's Furniture
Decorative handles are an easy way to update wardrobes, dressers, bedside cabinets and storage furniture in a child's room. Playful shapes can add character without replacing the furniture, and the handles can be changed again as the child's interests develop.
Choose a Suitable Design and Size
Check the overall width, height and projection so the handle fits the drawer or door without catching on adjacent fronts. If the handle uses two screws, measure the fixing-centre distance between the existing holes. For a one-screw fitting, confirm the screw diameter and the thickness of the furniture front.
Installation and Safety
Mount every handle securely using screws of the correct length. The screw should engage properly without protruding through the handle or remaining loose. On furniture used by small children, check regularly that the fitting is tight and that the design does not interfere with doors, drawers or nearby furniture.
Refresh Existing Furniture
A simple wardrobe or dresser can be personalised with colourful or shaped handles. If you later want a calmer look, they can be replaced with classic wooden handles, metal handles or compact knobs.
